Painter/Utility Worker
About the Role:
The Painter / Utility Worker is responsible for prepping and painting compressors and related components, maintaining paint equipment, supporting production tasks, and ensuring high-quality, on-time completion of painted products.
Location:
Sparks Proper, NV Pay: $22.00–$25.50/hr DOE.
Schedule:
5:45 AM – 2:15 PM Key Responsibilities Prep, mask, clean, and paint compressors, generators, and associated parts. Maintain accurate paint logs in accordance with company policies. Follow all safety rules, regulations, and best practices. Maintain the paint booth and equipment; complete weekly 5S cleanings and audits. Support packaging and general production tasks as needed. Operate a forklift to move and transport components (forklift certification required).
Perform additional duties as assigned by Operations and Production leadership.
Minimum Qualifications Ability to pass and maintain required painter qualification courses. Technical school training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license with no insurance restrictions. Ability to read and understand structural drawings, schematics, and manuals. Ability to perform basic math (percentages, ratios, fractions). Ability to learn and adapt to various computer applications. Understanding of air/gas compressors, generators, and basic manufacturing tools.
Must meet U.S. Person requirements per ALU 22
CFR 120.15 (may require ability to obtain DOD clearance).
