Position Summary

The Development Manager supports Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada's fundraising and community engagement efforts through the planning and execution of special events, donor and sponsor cultivation, grant research, and development operations. Reporting to the Director of Development, this position manages the day-to-day planning and logistics of JASN events while building relationships with corporate sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community partners that strengthen the organization's visibility and financial sustainability.

The Development Manager works closely with event committees and organizational leaders to develop successful fundraising experiences, manage event revenue and expenses, maintain accurate donor and event records, and identify opportunities to grow JASN's fundraising capacity. The ideal candidate is highly organized, relationship-oriented, creative, and comfortable balancing detailed event execution with donor engagement and broader development priorities. This is a full-time, in-person, exempt position.

Essential Functions

• Plan, coordinate, and execute ongoing and new fundraising and donor cultivation events in alignment with annual development objectives and JASN's strategic priorities
• Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements and coordinate execution across staff, volunteers, vendors, venues, and committee members
• Partner with event committee chairs to coordinate meetings, communicate priorities, document decisions, and ensure timely follow-through
• Manage event logistics from planning through setup, execution, tear-down, and post-event evaluation.
• Negotiate venue and event expenses in partnership with the Director of Development and appropriate committee leadership
• Develop and maintain quality standards and processes that support consistent, effective event execution.
• Lead post-event evaluation to identify successes, challenges, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement
• Identify and develop new event opportunities that can increase revenue, organizational visibility, and community engagement

Donor, Sponsor & Community Engagement

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors, donors, in-kind partners, volunteers, and other community stakeholders
• Lead event sponsorship efforts and develop year-round approaches to donor and sponsor cultivation, recognition, and stewardship
• Partner with the Director of Development to identify prospective major donors and opportunities to deepen existing donor relationships
• Identify potential grant opportunities using available research tools and provide relevant prospect information to the Director of Development and President
• Support grant-development efforts and help ensure required submissions are completed accurately and on schedule
• Recruit, coordinate, and recognize volunteers necessary to support successful event execution
• Represent JASN professionally in interactions with donors, sponsors, volunteers, committee members, vendors, and community partners
