Responsibilities
The ICU Clinical Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is full time at 36 hours per week on the ICU Unit. This position offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. It performs a dual function, clinical and managerial, providing direct and indirect patient care, performing disciplinary actions, and participating in hiring and termination of staff. The supervisor communicates with physicians, nurse managers, and co‑workers regarding changes in a patient’s clinical condition, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Job Duties / Responsibilities- Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, including family participation as appropriate.
- Competent in the care of patients within the specialty area.
- Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizes appropriate pain‑management techniques, and educates the patient and family about pain management.
- Revises the plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluates overall plan daily for effectiveness.

- Current Nevada State Registered Nurse licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification as appropriate for the department
- Specialty certification preferred
- Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred or enrollment in an accredited program within one year of employment or transfer into a supervisor role
