Responsibilities
This ICU Clinical Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is full time at 36 hours per week on our ICU unit. The position offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. The role performs a dual function—clinical and managerial—providing direct and indirect patient care, performing disciplinary actions, participating in hiring and termination of staff, communicating with physicians, nurse manager, and co‑workers, and responding quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
Job Duties /Responsibilities- Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, including family as appropriate.
- Competent in the care of patients within the specialty area.
- Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizes appropriate pain‑management techniques, and educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
- Revises plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluates overall plan daily for effectiveness.

- Current NV State Registered Nurse licensure.
- A minimum of 3 years’ nursing experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification as appropriate for department specific.
- Specialty certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred or enrolled in an accredited program within one‑year of employment or transferring into a supervisor role.
