Job Overview
This full‑time ICU Registered Nurse opportunity is 36 hours per week, offers full benefits, and a convenient day shift position. The nurse will provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy, and provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
Job Responsibilities- Construct and implement the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill, integrating direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co‑morbidities.
- Coordinate the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients, developing goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient and family needs.
- Consistently complete hourly rounds to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs (e.g., pain, repositioning, toileting); proactively evaluate the environment to ensure it is patient‑friendly and safe.
- Support and inform patients and families about hospital‑specific components of the Patient Centered Care Delivery model, including open medical record policy, open family visitation, family presence during resuscitation and other invasive procedures, and promotion of a quiet environment.
- Current Nevada nursing license.
- At least one year of critical‑care nursing experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification (or obtained within six months of hire).
