Emergency Department Registered Nurse opportunity is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. The role requires a dynamic, experienced ER Registered Nurse who will provide direct and indirect patient care with compassion and respect.

Responsibilities include:

communicating with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, performing general nursing duties in all departments under adequate supervision, and willing to float to all units.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
• Performs a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments per policy, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and general patient populations.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients, accurately assigns triage categories.
• Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizes appropriate pain management techniques, and educates patients and families regarding pain management.

• Current NV nursing license
• Current ACLS & BLS certificate
• PALS certificate (to be obtained within six months of employment)
• At least 2.5 years of ER experience required
