Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Telemetry Unit, Northern Nevada Medical Center (NVCM), Sparks, Nevada, 124-bed acute care hospital. Full-time day shift schedule. Eligible for $10,000 sign-on bonus.

- Involve patients and families in psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population-specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
- Construct and implement plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill, integrating direct and indirect patient care activities related to diagnosis and comorbidities.
- Coordinate implementation of interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients; develop goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
- Consistently complete hourly rounds to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs (pain, repositioning, toileting). Include proactive evaluation of environment to ensure patient-friendly and safe care.
- Collaborate with patient’s designated care partner to meet educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.
- Follow communication practices that minimize risks associated with handoffs among providers and across transitions in care using the SBAR process.
- Graduate of an accredited RN program.
- Current Nevada nursing license.
- Current BLS certificate.
- Current ACLS certificate.
- Must have one year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting.
