Travel RN - Operating Room (Sparks, Nevada)

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13‑week assignment in the Operating Room, beginning on 06/08/2026. The role requires 40 hours per week in 8‑hour day shifts.

• Provide operating‑room nursing care, including scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures.
• Prepare the operating room for the patient and surgical procedure, assemble equipment and supplies, and ensure all equipment is functional and implants are available.
• Adhere to aseptic technique standards and intraoperative protocols.
• Consult with and coordinate the surgical team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans.
• Serve as a communication liaison between patients, families, and the operating team.
• Participate in on‑call duties as required.

• Active Nevada RN license (no pending licenses accepted).
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program; BSN highly desired.
• AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience in a U.S. hospital (3 years preferred).
• United States Social Security Number.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Date of birth and two manager or supervisor references (including at least one from the most recent employer) for verification.
• Certified by CPI as required for this position.

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel; 100 miles or more is required for travel pay rates.
• Assignment includes a tax‑free stipend; exact amount to be confirmed.
• Travel time and compatibility will be taken into consideration during onboarding.

• Pay package based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
