REGISTERED NURSE, FLOAT POOL, ICU/MED TELE/SURG, Full Time Nights at Northern Nevada Medical Center Responsibilities

Float Pool Registered Nurse: provide direct and indirect patient care across all units in ICU, Med‑Tele, and Surgical. Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, respond quickly to rapid changes, perform general nursing duties in all departments under supervision, and float to all units as required.

• Demonstrates supportive behaviors for bedside report using IMAP & SBAR.
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with specialists, and adjusts nursing care processes as needed.
• Performs head‑to‑toe assessment and reassessments for all patients, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general populations.
• Utilizes triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care, accurately assigning triage categories.
• Demonstrates cardiac monitoring knowledge, identifies dysrhythmias, and treats appropriately per ACLS protocol.

• Current NV nursing license.
• Current BLS & ACLS certificate.
• PALS certificate (to be obtained within six months of employment).
• At least two years critical care experience in ED, ICU, or PACU.
