Registered NURSE, Med​/Tele Unit - Nights

Position Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Telemetry Unit at Northern Nevada Medical Center, a 124‑bed acute care hospital in Sparks, Nevada. Full‑time day‑shift schedule. Eligible for a $10,000.00 sign‑on bonus and full benefits.

• Involve patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population‑specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Construct and implement the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
• Integrate direct and indirect patient care activities related to diagnosis and co‑morbidities.
• Coordinate implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients.
• Develop goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
• Consistently complete hourly rounds to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs (e.g., pain, repositioning, toileting).
• Evaluate the environment proactively to ensure it is patient friendly and safe.
• Collaborate with the patient’s designated care partner to meet educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
• Follow communication practices that minimize risks associated with handoffs and transitions using the SBAR process.

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Current ACLS certificate.
• Must have one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care setting.
