Responsibilities
ER at Spanish Springs provides 24/7 emergency care in a convenient setting and is capable of treating life‑threatening injuries as well as less urgent issues. The facility delivers high‑quality care akin to our hospital ER, staffed by emergency‑trained physicians, nurses, and imaging and laboratory personnel. It is easily accessible, offers ample parking, and utilizes a wide range of capabilities and technology.
This ER Registered Nurse opportunity is part time, 24 hours per week, with full benefits and a convenient flexible night shift schedule. We are looking for a dynamic individual who will provide professional nursing care within the Emergency Department, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, deliver care that meets psychosocial, physical, and general needs of patients, and determine priorities of care based on patient needs and system flow.
The candidate will communicate with ED physicians regarding changes in patient status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required, and adjusts nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care.
- Performs head‑to‑toe assessments on all patients, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
- Uses the triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care and accurately assigns triage categories.
- Monitors patients’ hemodynamic status and correctly interprets the results.
- Assesses and reassesses pain, utilizes appropriate pain‑management techniques, and educates patients and family regarding pain management.

Qualifications- Current NV RN License
- Preferred: two to three years of emergency department experience (or two to three years of critical care experience, or extensive EMS background)
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
- Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
- TNCC Certification (within 1 year of employment)
