Registered NURSE, Emergency Dept @ SS FED, Nights

Responsibilities

• $10,000 SIGN ON
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients and accurately assigns triage categories.
• Ability to monitor hemodynamic status of patient and correctly interpret results.
• Ability to assess and reassess pain, utilize appropriate pain management techniques, and educate patients and families regarding pain management.

The ER at Spanish Springs, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, operates 24/7 and serves patients from pediatrics to seniors. The facility includes multiple treatment rooms, fast‑track exam rooms for low severity patients, advanced imaging services (ultrasound, CT, X‑ray) and outpatient lab draws.

• Current NV RN License
• Two to three years experience in the emergency department (preferred) or two to three years critical care experience or extensive EMS background experience.
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
• Current PALS Certification (within 6 months of hire)
