Registered NURSE, Emergency Dept, Per Diem Varied Shifts

Responsibilities

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse position is per diem and offers a convenient flexible schedule. We are looking for a dynamic experienced ER Registered Nurse. You will provide direct and indirect patient care to patients with compassion and respect, communicate with physicians about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment, and perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Must be willing to float to all units.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ability to perform a head‑to‑toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and the general patient population.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients and accurately assigns triage categories.
• Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain, utilize appropriate pain management techniques, and educate the patient and family regarding pain management.

• Current NV nursing license.
• Current ACLS & BLS certificate.
• PALS certificate (to be obtained within six months of employment).
• At least 2.5 years of ER experience required.
