Job Overview
ER at Spanish Springs is open 24/7 and welcomes patients of all ages. Facilities include nine treatment rooms, advanced imaging, lab draws, and a fast‑track triage system. The facility follows the FED delivery of care model, designed to provide short wait times for patients not requiring full‑service hospital care.
Similar to a hospital emergency department, the FED treats a variety of emergency medical needs—heart attack, stroke, trauma, lacerations, acute pain, and other life‑threatening conditions. If higher‑level care is required, we partner with local EMS to transport patients to a regional hospital.
Role SummaryThis paramedic position is part‑time, offers full benefits, and a flexible schedule. The candidate will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of an RN or physician, assist patients with activities of daily living, and perform clinical skills as directed.
Responsibilities- Complete bedside shift reports using IMAP & SBAR, ensuring patient information is communicated to the care team.
- Provide supportive care to ED patients under direct supervision of an RN or physician and perform approved procedures per policy.
- Engage patients and families in psychosocial, spiritual, and emotional care, addressing population‑specific and diversity needs.
- Assist with in‑service duties such as crutch walking, dressing changes, wound cleaning/dressing, and splint or cast application.
