Role:
Wound Care Registered Nurse responsible for comprehensive wound assessments, treatment planning, and patient education.
Responsibilities:Perform wound management for diverse patient populations, develop skin care programs to prevent skin breakdown, and serve as a resource for physicians and staff. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and coordinate patient care, including goals, treatment implementation, evaluation, and outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a BSN, current RN licensure, and at least two years of medical/surgical or rehabilitation nursing experience. BLS certification required; CWOCN or CWCN certification preferred. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, wound management principles, and skin prevention strategies essential.
Key Duties:Conduct wound assessments, manage acute and chronic wounds, educate patients/families/staff, and develop preventive skin care programs.
