Job Overview
The Registered Nurse position is a full‑time role on the Medical/Telemetry Unit at Northern Nevada Medical Center. The unit offers full benefits and convenient day shift schedules. The hospital is a 124‑bed acute‑care facility located at 2375
E. Prater Way, Sparks, Nevada.
- Involve patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population‑specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
- Construct and implement the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill, integrating direct and indirect patient care activities related to diagnosis and comorbidities.
- Coordinate implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients, developing goals, treatment and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
- Consistently complete hourly rounds to strengthen communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs (e.g., pain management, repositioning, toileting).
- Collaborate with the patient’s designated care partner to meet educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.
- Follow communication practices that minimize risks associated with handoffs among providers and across transitions in care utilizing the SBAR process.
- Sign‑on bonus of $10,000 for full‑time positions.

- Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
- Current Nevada nursing license.
- Current BLS certificate.
- Current ACLS certificate.
- Minimum one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute‑care setting.
