Position: Quality Engineering Technician I - Assembly, Nights D-Shift

Overview

Quality Engineering Technician I at Panasonic Energy. Shift: Nights, D-Shift. Department:
Quality Operations.

Position overview:

work within a large-scale Li-ion battery manufacturing environment, focused on ensuring product quality through quality control systems and material quality checks throughout the production process.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and implement quality control systems for Li-ion battery manufacturing processes.
  • Perform incoming materials quality control in the warehouse for cell production.
  • Assist in establishing quality control systems in the materials warehouse of battery production.
  • Inspect incoming materials including cell parts, battery active materials, and chemical materials for battery safety and performance.
  • Analyze and evaluate materials input/output data to reduce defects and improve battery performance.
  • Provide support to cell manufacturing process auditing on materials to assure production quality.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with quality management tools (control chart, FTA, FMEA, etc.) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Practical experience with materials analysis, testing, and chemical analysis equipment
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of quality technician background (preferred)
  • Associate’s or Junior College degree in science or engineering field
  • Experience using ISO 9001 quality management system auditing
  • Background as a quality technician in high-volume manufacturing (strongly desired)
  • Extensive data analysis experience such as statistical process control of production data
  • Experience in defect reduction of high-volume manufacturing products
