Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T2472) s role is On-Demand, with schedule variability based on shift availability and store needs. Starting hourly rate: $17.00 USD per hour.
All about Target and On-Demand specifics:
On-Demand Team Members (TM) are not guaranteed a posted weekly schedule and may create their own schedule by picking up shifts through the myTime app. Shifts require reliable attendance and engagement. If offered a position, a Target Welcome orientation and a short-term training schedule will be required. After training, shifts can be picked up via the myTime app. This position emphasizes guest service, store operations, and engagement with both in-store and digital services.
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
- Engage with guests to assist with their needs and solve issues.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve guest concerns and improve their experience.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, activities, and events.
- Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; be familiar with fulfillment services and how to direct guests to enroll, activate, and use them.
- Explain how to use Wallet and other Target App features and offerings.
- Assist with returns and follow register prompts, escalating to leadership as needed while following Target policies.
- De-escalate situations with leaders as needed to recover the guest shopping experience.
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours.
- Adhere to safety, conduct, and compliance standards; report hazards and take corrective action where possible.
- Support guest services such as OPU, Drive-Up, and Drive-Up Returns, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policies.
- Assist with Cash Office processes as needed, including cash systems management.
- All other duties based on business needs.

- Ability to use handheld scanners and other technology; operate multiple devices as directed.

- Accurately handle cash, transactions, and cash office operations as needed.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
- Flexibility to pick up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs.
- Active engagement by picking up and working shifts; you must work at least one shift within 5 months or you may be administratively terminated.
- Must be able to work in environments with varying temperatures and other elements, depending on duties (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
- Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift.
