Retail Sales Associate

$14.00 to $17.00 per hour. Commission pays you for every transaction processed.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time retail sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The associate partners with the entire staff to ensure exceptional customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business, greeting, engaging, and assisting customers with sales, loans, and related transactions. The role involves working with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

• Greet and interact with all customers to build rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Perform non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and orderly sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Execute sales and loan transactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items securely and accurately.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers.
• Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully complete all assigned training.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May be asked to assist customers or retrieve products in exterior areas.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and work in a team environment.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.

Commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
