Sales Manager & Marketing Liaison

Legacy Transportation is seeking an experienced Sales Manager & Marketing Liaison with a proven background in transportation, logistics, and 3PL sales leadership to lead our outside B2B sales organization and support continued business growth.

This role is responsible for developing a high-performing outside B2B sales team focused on new customer acquisition and business development, driving revenue growth, establishing sales accountability, and partnering with executive leadership to execute strategic business initiatives. The successful candidate will also serve as the primary liaison between Legacy Transportation and our external marketing partners to ensure marketing strategies support business development objectives.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing outside B2B sales team focused on new customer acquisition and business development.
• Drive revenue growth through strategic business development, prospecting, customer acquisition, and field sales activities.
• Conduct sales meetings, pipeline reviews, forecasting, and performance coaching.
• Accompany sales representatives on customer visits to provide coaching, support, and strategic guidance.
• Establish sales KPIs, accountability standards, and performance metrics.
• Manage CRM utilization, sales reporting, forecasting, and pipeline accuracy.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
• Partner with executive leadership to identify growth opportunities and expand market share.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure customer expectations are successfully achieved.
• Serve as the primary liaison with external marketing partners.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives that support lead generation, customer engagement, and brand growth.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $120,000–$140,000 DOE
• Performance Bonus:

Travel

Up to 25% travel for customer meetings, strategic business development, industry events, and supporting the outside sales team in the field.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales leadership experience within the transportation, logistics, freight, warehousing, supply chain, or 3PL industry.
• Demonstrated success leading a hunter-style outside B2B sales team responsible for prospecting, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
• Proven experience driving business development and revenue growth.
• Experience managing CRM systems, sales forecasting, KPI reporting, and pipeline management.
• Strong executive presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience leading strategic customer meetings and managing complex B2B sales cycles.
• Ability to partner cross-functionally with operations and executive leadership.
• Must currently reside in the Sparks/Reno area or be willing to relocate before employment.

Preferred

• Experience selling transportation, warehousing, crating, rigging, or specialized logistics services.
• Experience working with marketing agencies or coordinating business development marketing initiatives.
• Experience building sales processes, accountability systems, and performance metrics.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred but not required).
