Data Center Physical Security Manager, DC Security Americas Southwest

Overview

AWS’ Infrastructure Physical Security Team is looking for a Data Center Security Manager with experience working in critical infrastructure installations, ideally data centers. The Data Center Security Manager will drive operational security excellence across several facilities within a short driving distance, fostering a culture of quality and proactively identifying physical security vulnerabilities for remediation. The role interfaces with security vendors involved in new security construction, repairs, daily operations, patrols, and planning.

The position involves extracting metrics, observing improvements, advising on security system improvements and design, leading security awareness training for data center occupants, and writing and implementing security procedures, directorates, and reports to advise leadership on the status of physical security operations.

• Lead daily operational security across a data center campus
• Drive security awareness campaigns aimed at enhancing security vigilance and effectiveness
• Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction/development of performance metrics
• Lead security investigations across campus facilities
• Oversee physical security vendors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction/repair, fencing, and access controls
• Distill overarching security strategy into daily tactics to reach management goals
• Oversee security construction projects
• Provide security awareness training to data center personnel
• The selected candidate requires US Citizenship or equivalent status
