Superior Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Combo Welders for a long‑term industrial project in Sparks, Nevada
. This role plays a critical part in executing high‑quality welding tasks involving carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems. The Combo Welder ensures safe and precise welds that meet rigorous industry standards, contributing to the success and safety of large‑scale projects.
The Combo Welder is responsible for welding, fitting, and assembling piping systems using a variety of welding processes and techniques. This position focuses on structural integrity, alignment accuracy, and compliance with blueprint specifications. Candidates must pass a weld test and possess strong skills in TIG, SMAW, and FCAW processes.
Tools and Equipment Used- TIG welding equipment
- SMAW (Stick) welding equipment
- FCAW welding machines
- Grinders, torches, and cutting tools
- Pipe fitting and alignment tools
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- 2" Schedule 10 Stainless Steel
- 6" XXH Carbon Steel
- Various industrial‑grade pipes and fittings
- Welding rods and filler materials (e.g., 6010, flux‑cored wire)
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel in a 6G position
- Execute SMAW root passes and FCAW fill/cap passes on carbon steel pipe
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding symbols
- Fit, align, and secure pipe sections prior to welding
- Inspect welds for quality and compliance with project specifications
- Follow all jobsite safety protocols and company procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines
- Participate in routine safety and skills training as required
Competitive Salary Package – $40.00/hour based on experience
Per Diem – $90 per day (for candidates located 60+ miles from jobsite)

Candidates must have at least 4 years of industrial welding experience and be prepared to complete a TIG and SMAW/FCAW pipe welding test as part of the qualification process.
