About the Community Lumina at Spanish Springs is a 330 unit luxurious community located in Sparks NV About the Role Northland is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to complete maintenance service requests and work orders including but not limited to HVAC electrical pool maintenance plumbing carpentry painting and housekeeping items This role will also complete apartments turnovers for scheduled move ins in a timely manner while working safely and efficiently Northlands maintenance team always maintains the highest level of professionalism and customer service when working with our residents vendors and guests As part of our promise to deliver a top tier experience to our residents maintenance team members are required to handle after hours emergency calls and be on call as needed including nights and weekends Qualifications and Requirements The individual must possess the following knowledge skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities Previous experience in general maintenance plumbing carpentry electrical HVAC and painting
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff residents and vendors All maintenance employees are required to have their own hand tools to carry out job functions other power tools will be provided
Travel may be required to assist other properties as needed or to attend training classes
Must be able to work nights weekend and holiday shifts as part of the on call responsibility
Physical Requirements Must be able to stand walk andor sit for extended periods of time and climb bend and squat
Must be able to push pull lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions
