Experienced Technician, Vintage European Sports Cars & Race Cars

This is a full-time, on‑site position based in Reno, NV for an Experienced Technician specializing in vintage European sports cars and race cars. The technician will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform repairs, and complete scheduled maintenance on classic and competition vehicles. Daily work includes engine, drivetrain, suspension, brake, and fuel system service, as well as setup and preparation for track events.

The role involves documentation of work performed, collaboration with service advisors and other technicians, and communication with clients about vehicle condition and recommended work. The technician will maintain a clean, safe workspace, follow shop procedures, and help ensure that each vehicle meets performance and safety standards appropriate for both street and track use.

• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills related to vintage European sports cars and race cars, including engines, drive trains, suspension, and braking systems.
• Experience with electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting in older and modified vehicles.
• Proficiency in precision repair techniques, including fabrication, fitting, and adjustment of components for restoration and performance applications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation for a variety of marques.
• Track support experience, including vehicle setup, safety checks, and quick troubleshooting under time pressure, is highly beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to high-quality workmanship, and ability to document work clearly and accurately.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in a small, specialized shop environment.
• Prior experience in a specialty or performance automotive shop; familiarity with European brands such as Porsche, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, BMW, or similar is a plus.
• Ability to safely operate shop equipment and tools, and to follow all safety guidelines, including lifting and working under vehicles.
• Relevant technical training or certification in automotive technology; a combination of formal education and substantial hands‑on experience will be considered.
