Position Summary

The Team Lead has general responsibility for coordinating and overseeing all operational activities, which they are assigned to daily. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Operations Lead is responsible for oversight of the associates dedicated to the warehousing, receiving, and shipping of product in their area in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Mentor and train new and existing associates in specific distribution activities to help achieve established customer demands.
  • Train new and existing associates on current Standard Operating Procedures, including shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control.
  • Assist in forklift operation and certification for new and existing associates.
  • Oversee and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, stack product, and stage outbound shipments; verify paperwork and count accurately.
  • Efficiently and accurately load orders onto appropriate doors and trailers.
  • Process shipping/receiving/picking functions per the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in the shipping and receiving process.
  • Conduct professional customer interactions (telephone, email, in person).
  • Prepare required activity reports for site management.
  • Ensure product and orders meet quality standards; report damages or discrepancies; stack, package, shrink‑wrap, and label products.
  • Report inconsistencies or problems to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager; participate in quality meetings.
  • Maintain safety protocols, cleanliness, housekeeping, and compliance with ISO and OSHA/MSDS standards.
  • Participate in safety meetings.
  • Direct warehouse operations to achieve objectives and assist with scheduling and productivity sheets.
  • Assist Supervisor in workforce management and employee schedule implementation.
  • Ensure all associates handle products per quality procedures.
  • Initiate actions to prevent non‑conformities in product, process, and quality systems; report to Quality Department.
  • Operate and maintain equipment (sit‑down, stand‑up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, aisle master, pallet jack); maintain active forklift certification and perform daily inspections.
  • Assist in contributing to maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • May perform other clerical and administrative tasks as directed (answer phones, schedule appointments, greet visitors, file, and record keeping).
  • Will work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
Minimum

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a logistics, distribution, or similar environment.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Must be able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate.
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2–4 years experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
  • 2–4 years proven forklift experience.
  • Current or prior MHE certification.
Compensation

Base pay range: $26.00 per hour; actual compensation will be determined by job‑related factors such as experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
