R Field Service Technician I (Open)

Sparks, NV - Bulk cryo logistics - ANC
Pay: $28–$31/hr (depending on experience)

- Install and service new and existing Bulk CO2 tanks while upholding safety standards and operating a CDL B truck.
- Steward safe and accurate loading, unloading, and transportation of CO2 products for servicing, including managing equipment up to 500 lbs and using material handling tools like hand trucks, battery and electric power tools, 14 ft ladders, and working overhead regularly.
- Connect with customers to secure required signatures as needed.
- Travel regionally 25%-50% of the time;
Airgas coordinates and covers all hotel accommodations, flights, or car rentals; all ANC trucks are day cabs. - Typical shift Monday‑Friday, with openness to a shared on‑call rotation on some weekends.
- Contribute to CO2 bulk installations at Airgas facilities and customer sites.
- Assess, troubleshoot, and perform general repairs and maintenance on Bulk CO2 systems.
- Ensure clear communication and safety awareness by placing decals and warning signs for hazard identification.
- Organize and maintain a reliable inventory of recommended parts to support typical installations.
- Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT (or ability to obtain hazmat within 60 days of hire date) and Tanker & Airbrake endorsement.
- 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or certification from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
- Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements.
- No more than two traffic convictions or at‑fault accidents within the last 3 years (or combination of one conviction and one accident).
- No driving while under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances within the last seven years.
- Ability to read blueprints, design specifications, manufacturer and architectural drawings related to bulk delivery sites.
- Mathematical calculation skills.
- Basic understanding of hand tools.
- Knowledge of specialty gases.
- Capable of lifting 60 lbs.
