Overview
The Yard Driver is primarily responsible for the accurate and efficient movement of inbound and outbound freight. Duties include safely and accurately backing, pull spotting, and shifting tractor‑trailer rigs.
Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday 5:00 am - 5:30 pm
Responsibilities- Safely operate yard truck and maneuver equipment in and around tight corners, through staging areas, and around pedestrian traffic in a safe manner.
- Connect/disconnect trailer/container, operate trailer landing gear, and open trailer doors.
- Review and comprehend Shi Via and set‑up reports.
- Operate air‑over hydraulic fifth‑wheel front trailer support system.
- Perform routine inspection on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; clean equipment.
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to read, write, operate RF device, conduct business‑related mathematics, and analyze data as required.
- Bring problems to the attention of the supervisor, manager, safety director, or HR manager.
- Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and training.
- All other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands- Required to stand (stationary position) during scheduled hours. Hours usually include weekends, evenings, and holidays in conjunction with labor regulations.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate using various methods.
- Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling, and moving weights of 0-25 pounds constantly, 25-40 pounds occasionally, and over 40 pounds seldomly with or without assistance as needed.
- Ability to move up to 40 pounds at least 25 feet in distance occasionally with assistance as needed.
- Based on business necessity, associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year previous driving experience highly preferred.
- Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
- Minimum of year experience using air brake systems.
This position works in a warehouse setting, with limited outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, RF scanner, and tape dispensers. Based on business necessity, associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.

Shift differential: Should you meet your full scheduled 36.00 hours, 40.00 will be paid out.
