US Warehouse Specialist

Overview

Experienced warehouse professional with demonstrated skill across multiple functions. Cross-trained to perform at or above standard in several roles, train others, and interpret Distribution Center documents. Able to drive multiple equipment types or act as a certified machine trainer, with the flexibility to participate in special projects and adapt to varying schedules and areas of work.

• Cross-trained and operating at or above standard in at least 3 different job functions.
• Demonstrate experience and willingness to work in any department or shift as needed, with little or short notice.
• Train others on a variety of warehouse functions.
• Process, generate, and interpret documents that require broad operational knowledge within the Distribution Center.
• Back up responsibilities for department Team Lead and/or Supervisor.
• Assist with generating and summarizing warehouse data, including running reports and making data-based decisions and recommendations.
• Ability to drive multiple types of equipment or serve as a certified machine trainer, or perform other functions requiring advanced system knowledge.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

• Expanded computer skills beyond A-system and basic Office products.
• Able to pass machine driver safety training for all required equipment.
• Strong training, communication, and leadership skills.
• Good reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
• Detail-oriented, flexible, and capable of making accurate decisions under set guidelines.
• Good problem-solving skills; ability to follow instructions, work under stress, and handle multiple assignments.
• Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics.
• Physical ability to stand while operating equipment and bear full weight on both feet; operate machines up to 5 levels high.
• Lift up to 50 pounds; withstand various environmental conditions (hot/cold, dust, noise).
• Ability to grasp, bend, reach above shoulder height, and walk extensively throughout the warehouse.

• Knowledge and demonstrated skills of warehousing operations.
• Location-based pay:
  In Sparks, Nevada, the hourly rate is $20.50.
• Internal promotions: increase of $1.25 to the current hourly rate.
• Lateral internal transfers: no change to current hourly rate.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable work experience.

• Lift, carry, or move products as specified (0-50 pounds, with higher occasional needs).
• Walk on concrete floors frequently; grasp, push, pull, and perform fine hand manipulation frequently.
• Twist or bend torso frequently; climb ladders occasionally.
• Handle tools continuously (computer, RF device, utility knife).
• Temperature-controlled building; possible exposure to dust; occasional cold environment.
