Job Summary
Responsible for picking customer orders selected directly from primary product locations within the production areas. Also responsible for boxing customer orders for shipping that have been picked and loaded onto carts. Verifies information on location labels and customer packing lists to maintain high accuracy. Uses a coversheet and cart for voice‑directed picking.
Essential Responsibilities & Accountabilities- Receive coversheet and assigned cart; log onto the voice system to begin the voice‑directed picking process.
- Move the cart through product bin aisles and pick corresponding products, placing the correct product and quantity into the cart and placing small items into bags or bands for easier identification.
- Verify product during the picking process and may verify during the packing process.
- Maintain daily individual production records, which are reviewed by the supervisor, by writing down the time specific tasks are performed.
- After completing the cart, return the cart to the staging area and begin packing the customer orders: verify selected products and check off packing lists.
- Select appropriately sized boxes or envelopes to avoid bending, crushing, or shifting of items during delivery.
- Pack all orders neatly and correctly in a box to ensure quality (e.g., glass items in bubble wrap, small items and liquids in a bag, items standing upright).
- Follow proper packing procedures.
- Report any error in product selection or quality to the appropriate team member, or correct the order before shipment.
- Send the pack to the conveyor system for packing material addition and sealing, then place packed orders for shipment.
- Process special orders using the special order process.
- Dispose of empty boxes and packaging appropriately to maintain safe and clean working conditions.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
- Meet company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in compliance with all company policies and procedures, including World Wide Business Standards.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
Knowledge of basic warehousing operations preferred.
To the extent this job is performed in Sparks, Nevada, the hourly rate to be offered for this position is $18.00 per hour. For internal promotions, this position will be offered an increase of $1.25 to a current employee's hourly rate. For lateral internal transfers, there will be no change to the employee's hourly rate.
$18.00 per hour start rate.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills- Good reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
- Good communication (written/verbal) skills.
- Detail oriented and accountable for making accurate decisions under set guidelines.
- Good problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, work under stress, and handle multiple assignments.
- Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, vendor code).
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable work experience.
