As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and organized operation of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and thrives in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities- Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents, and accurately record quantities.
- Organize and store products, materials, and equipment in designated areas.
- Pick and pack orders based on provided lists and ensure accurate item selection and quantity.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Conduct regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels and report discrepancies.
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging materials for outgoing orders.
- Maintain a neat and organized warehouse by arranging products and materials efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet shipping deadlines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance product knowledge and warehouse operations.
- Assist in maintaining equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Keep records of all warehouse activities, including incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Support the implementation of process improvements to optimize warehouse efficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Ability to lift heavy objects(up to 75lb), stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
- Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Flexibility to work in varying temperatures and environments.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
- Must be able to consistently lift and carry items weighing up to 75 lbs
- Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb in and out of containers
- Ability to manually unload shipping containers by hand
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods
