The Inventory Control Area Supervisor is responsible for leading daily inventory control activities, supporting cycle count execution, researching inventory variances, submitting and justifying inventory adjustments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring compliance with established inventory policies and procedures. • Research inventory variances, identify root causes, and partner with Operations and IC leadership to drive corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory control metrics and help ensure facility performance meets internal and customer expectations.
  • Use WMS data and inventory reporting tools to identify inventory risks, transaction errors, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with Operations leaders to understand inventory impacts related to receiving, put-away, picking, packing, returns, replenishment, moves, and other warehouse activities.
  • Research, prepare, submit, and justify inventory adjustments with appropriate supporting documentation, root-cause analysis, and approval routing in accordance with internal thresholds, customer requirements, and established Inventory Control procedures.
  • Support process discipline and transactional accuracy across warehouse teams by coaching associates and reinforcing proper inventory handling procedures.
  • Escalate inventory risks, process failures, aging variances, or recurring issues to IC leadership in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assist with development and improvement of inventory procedures, work instructions, reporting tools, and control processes.
  • Support loss prevention efforts by helping identify trends, process breakdowns, inventory discrepancies, and potential areas of risk.
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and operational performance.
  • Coach, train, and develop associates to improve inventory knowledge, process adherence, and accountability.
  • Help build a culture of ownership, accuracy, urgency, and continuous improvement within the Inventory Control function.
