Job SummaryThe Warehouse Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse facility. By taking the responsibility to manage a team of warehouse personnel, ensuring efficient and accurate handling, storage, and distribution of goods and materials. The Warehouse Lead will guide and motivate team members to meet operational goals, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Plan with the Warehouse Supervisor by prioritizing daily warehouse activities, such as receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping, to meet operational goals and customer demands.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure accurate stock counts, proper storage, and timely replenishment.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and efficient warehouse operations.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and related software to track inventory, generate reports, and streamline warehouse processes.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements within the warehouse operations.
- Use handheld scanners or other tools to track and update inventory levels.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment or pallet jacks to move items and pallets as necessary.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, checking for damaged or missing items, and recording discrepancies.
- Organize and arrange products in the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and easy accessibility.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse by properly disposing of packaging materials and keeping work areas tidy.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and warehouse regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Report any inventory shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor or manager.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Assist in other warehouse duties as assigned.
