POSITION SCOPE
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for supporting day-to-day supply chain activities to help ensure the uninterrupted flow of materials, products, and information across the organization. This role coordinates purchasing, inventory management, supplier communication, logistics support, and production requirements to help meet customer expectations and operational objectives. The Supply Chain Coordinator works closely with Production, Shipping, Quality, Finance, and suppliers to maintain inventory accuracy, support material availability, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

- Support purchasing, inventory control, supplier communication, and logistics coordination activities.
- Coordinate material availability to support production schedules and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate supply chain records, reports, and ERP/MRP information.
- Partner cross-functionally to resolve supply chain challenges and improve process performance.
- Coordinate the procurement of raw materials, components, supplies, and services necessary to support manufacturing operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Operations and Production Control to ensure adequate material availability while minimizing excess inventory.
- Review material requirements and create purchase orders in accordance with established procedures.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, shortages, quality concerns, and forecasted demand.
- Track supplier performance related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.
- Expedite critical materials as needed to avoid production interruptions.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and supplier records within ERP/MRP systems.
- Assist with supplier onboarding, documentation, and certification management.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Analyze inventory trends and support cycle count and physical inventory activities.
- Review inventory discrepancies and investigate root causes to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Generate reports related to purchasing activities, inventory levels, supplier performance, and supply chain metrics.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Operations, and Finance to support business needs and resolve supply chain challenges.
- Support cost-reduction efforts through sourcing initiatives, inventory optimization, supplier negotiations, and process improvements.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities focused on efficiency, waste reduction, inventory control, and supplier performance.
- Complies with all company employment policies, procedures/processes, and programs. Performs duties in compliance quality, safety, and manufacturing requirements.

CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, andWORK EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:
Education
- Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in purchasing, logistics, inventory control, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or a related function.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
- APICS/ASCM certification or other supply chain-related certification.
- Manufacturing environment experience.
- Experience with QAD or similar ERP system.
