General
Summary:
Repair die cast dies, trim dies, build and maintain fixtures to meet company standards to maintain production.
Location:
9983 Sparta Avenue, Sparta, MI 49345
Hours:
Monday-Thursday 10 hours, Fridays as needed 8 hours Pay based on experience.
Sign-On Bonus:
Receive $250 after your first 90 days of employment
Attendance Bonus:
Receive $250 for perfect attendance for your first 60 days
Essential Job Functions:
- Communicate stock availability and check inventory.
- Ability to read blueprints and make cores and punches per the blueprint.
- Requires basic plumbing skills.
- Build and maintain fixtures per blueprint.
- Know how to hook up and operate a hot oil machine.
- Knowledge of proper polishing techniques.
- Know how to operate the hydraulic and electrical test machine.
- Analytical problem solving techniques.
- Repair die cast dies, trim dies and fixtures using precision measuring tools.
- Performs machine operations using drills, grinders, turn threads, mill and lathe.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area.
- TIG weld tool components as needed.
- Process Specific Training if available.
- Such other duties as are assigned from time-to-time.
Job Expectations:
- React to problems associated with die cast and trim dies on the production floor.
- Service die cast and trim dies prior to die set.
- Communicate problems with floor supervisors and/or Quality department.
- Complete required documentation.
Qualifications:
Experience or Training Required or Preferred:
- Two years related tooling/tool room experience.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to read precision measuring tools.
- Knowledge of basic math, reading and writing.
- Basic knowledge of mills, lathes, surface grinders, radial arm drills and spotting press.
- CNC programming experience a plus.
- Mechanically inclined.
- High School Diploma preferred.
License or Certificate
Required:
- Valid Forklift and Overhead crane license issued by CDCG/Great Lakes.
