Spooling Machine Operator
The Spooling Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting machinery that feeds, winds, spools, and cuts materials according to customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Read work orders to understand customer specifications.
- Load and unload spools efficiently.
- Monitor machine performance and maintain product quality.
- Troubleshoot basic machine issues.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Manually position and feed material while maintaining consistent foot-pedal pressure.
- Verify product specifications by reviewing work orders.
- Identify and report any machine malfunctions.
- Perform repetitive motions and material handling safely and consistently.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in machine operation, including drill press and mill operations.
- Experience with production processes, braiding, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of plastic extrusion and machining.
- Ability to start, operate, and adjust spooling equipment.
- Familiarity with CNC, shear, changeover, general labor, lathe machine, and inspection.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of related production or machine-operation experience.
- Ability to anticipate production needs and meet daily schedules.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparta, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
