The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role is to provide direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). The LPN must supervise according to current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as required by the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor, to maintain the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities include administering medication, completing assessments and treatments, documenting services, and occasionally participating in activities of daily living or assisting CNAs.

The ideal candidate should have long-term care experience, a positive attitude and bedside manner, and a love for working with people. A valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of North Carolina or a compact license that allows practice in North Carolina is required.
