MIG​/TIG Welder

Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill MIG/TIG Welder positions for a Manufacturing company in Sparta, TN. This is a Temp-to-Hire job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:

Perform MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding on metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications

Join metals, alloys, and fabricated parts using appropriate welding techniques to produce high-quality welds

Set up and operate welding equipment, selecting the proper materials, wire, shielding gases, and settings for each job Inspect completed welds for strength, appearance, and compliance with quality standards

Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication

Perform basic grinding, finishing, and preparation of welded parts as needed

Maintain welding equipment and keep work areas clean while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements

Assist with additional fabrication and production duties as assigned

Compensation (USD):$18.00 - $19.00/hour

Schedule:

1st Shift Monday – Friday5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.Possible Saturdays as needed.

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

Previous MIG and/or TIG welding experience required

Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings

Knowledge of welding safety procedures and proper use of PPEAbility to accurately measure materials using tape measures and other measuring tools

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
