Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused Receiving Inspection to support manufacturing operations and ensure products meet established quality standards. This position is responsible for inspecting materials and finished goods, performing measurements, documenting results, and identifying quality concerns. The ideal candidate will have experience using precision measuring instruments and a strong understanding of measurements, tolerances, and quality control processes.
- Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Verify product quality against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct dimensional measurements and accurately record inspection results.
- Identify, document, and communicate quality issues and non-conforming materials.
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Work closely with production and management teams to support quality initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement efforts.
- Follow established inspection and testing procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be highly detail-oriented with strong observation and documentation skills.
- Must have experience understanding measurements, tolerances, and dimensional specifications.
- Must have experience using precision measuring and testing equipment, including:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Multimeters
- Tape Measures
- Height Gauges
- Gauges and other inspection tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience as a Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, or in a manufacturing quality role.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement practices.
- Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and quality documentation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
