Automation Technician - D Shift

Location: 600 Vista Drive, Sparta, Tennessee 38583

Work Shift: 12hr-D Shift (6p-6a)

• Handle and operate any machinery, tools, or equipment used safely while performing job duties.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints (Mechanical and Electrical).
• Must be able to work with electrical power from 24v to 480v.
• Must be able to adjust sensors or know how to configure sensors.
• Set up & debug new automation as needed.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various packing, automation, and mold equipment.
• Develop, install, and program automation and robotics.
• Develop, install and validate vision systems.
• Assist with the integration, startup, and debugging of plant‑floor equipment.
• Maintain a clean work environment.

• Remain stationary for extended periods of time.
• Move around the production floor.
• Communicate with subordinates.
• Position self to ground level as needed.
• Move, adjust, and position items weighing 10–45lb.
• Identify, recognize, and assess documents, machinery, and more.

Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

• Automation Technician Certification.
• 1+ year of mechanical/electrical background.
• Experience with basic electrical circuits (a plus).
• PLC programming knowledge.

Employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and loud noise. Employee may be exposed to seasonal weather conditions if required to go outdoors. Proper use of PPE is required at all times.
