Summary of Position: Instructors are responsible for providing quality academic curriculum, instruction, assessment, and ensuring a productive and challenging learning experience prepared to prepare students for the workplace or further education. This position promotes social justice within the division and the larger academic institution. Instruction will be primarily in the face-to-face format.

Minimum Education and Occupational Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Three years (or 6000 hrs) certified occupational experience as a jail officer (certifiability occurs on the date of LESB approval)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree
• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related law enforcement field, Public Administration, Public Service or Education
• Master's degree
• Teaching experience
• Online teaching experience and/or experience with online learning platforms

Required Certification/Licenses:

• Eligible for/or meets WTCS Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements.
• Individual program certification may be required and must be maintained (e.g., RN, public safety)

Law Enforcement Coordinator

Salary: $36/hour
