POSITION DETAILSPart‑time with benefits (2 openings). 40 hours per 2‑week pay period; variable evening shifts to include every other weekend and a holiday rotation; experience‑based pay, includes shift differentials. Radiology Tech Aide will assist in Imaging Services for multiple modalities. APPLY TODAY!
JOB SUMMARYSupports the Imaging Technologists in patient care/diagnostic testing, assists in general clerical office duties including but not limited to: documenting patient medical history, scheduling exams, STAT Result process, and answering phone calls, transports patients to/from Imaging department, and assists in patient exam prep.
MAJOR JOB FUNCTION- Performs AIDET
- Escorts/transports patients to/from the Imaging Department
- Performs two patient identifiers as according to the Imaging Department NPSG procedure
- Assists technologist in positioning, transferring, and obtaining necessary images as according to exam protocol
- Maintains professional skills and provides age‑specific care to patients of all ages (neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics)
- Follows safety procedures and guidelines and reports unsafe practices and conditions
- Follows ALARA principles
- Consistently and appropriately follows Universal Precautions
- Inventory, maintain and order adequate supplies
- Assists in performing first aid, CPR and AED
- Participates in peer competencies
- Performs other job duties as assigned and in accordance with qualifications and training

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2nd year student of an accredited Radiography program
- Ability to professionally communicate with patients, physicians and fellow employees
- Must have proficient computer skills with the ability to operate within a Windows environment
- Excellent human relation skills as demonstrated by the ability to interface positively with all customers and employees
- Ability to apply technical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet patient age‑specific needs pediatric (ages 1‑2) through geriatric
- Must have the ability to work with frequent interruptions, under stress and deadlines and with minimal supervision, and to exercise initiative and judgment in analyzing, organizing, planning, prioritizing, scheduling and coordinating work with others
- Ability to perform multiple tasks yet meets deadlines
- Needs to possess a high level of intelligence, integrity, sense of responsibility and ability to comprehend and analyze details
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, and talk and hear
- The Imaging Aide is frequently required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The Imaging Aide is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch
- The Imaging Aide must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Good hearing necessary to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound
- Visual acuity needed to assess color changes, to verify accuracy of written materials
- Computer/keyboard skills required. Must have the ability to operate in a Windows environment
- Must understand and accept the possibility of exposure to inside environmental conditions, such as infectious/communicable diseases, noise, blood and blood borne diseases, chemicals and/or chemical fumes, odors, gases, dusts, and physical injury/verbal abuse from an out‑of‑control patient. Frequent exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors. Must be able to function effectively under stressful situations
