Molder Operator (1st Shift)
Now hiring for 1st Shift with our injection molding client in Sparta!
Shift: Monday - Friday 6am-2pm Starting Pay: $16.94 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate molding presses, vacuum forming, die-cutting, CNC routing, plastic granulators, general hand tools, and other related equipment.
- Work with multiple presses running in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to follow instructions and work independently.
- Maintain standard cycle as established by job rate.
- Must be able to handle large sheets and or part/parts. Sheet size can be up to 51 X 75 inches.
- Inspect quality of parts and report any changes to the immediate Manager/Lead.
- The operator will be held accountable for the quality of his/her work.
- Move, pack, or stack raw or finished parts without damaging or affecting quality.
- Make sure labels are affixed neatly and have correct information on them.
- Clean up at and around presses during mold changeovers, and clean up at the end of the day.
- Perform re-work or other necessary functions when instructed or when time allows.
- Assist in the development and training of new machine operators.
- Communicate to the relieving operator, such as trimming, packing, and quality standards.
- Work a flexible schedule to support production demands.
- Adhere to department and company safety guidelines.
- Ability to perform a visual inspection for cosmetic defects.
- Must be able to perform essential duties efficiently and accurately.
- Work independently of continual supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Minimum Qualifications /Experience/
Qualifications:
- Must be able to perform basic math, read and understand instructions.
- Must be able to make decisions.
- Must be able to retain information.
- Must be able to use and read precision measuring devices.
Environmental/
Working Conditions:
- Factory environment.
- Will occasionally be exposed to moderate noise, oily dusty, hot, and wet conditions.
- Will be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
Physical Functions:
- Lift/carry: 50 pounds waist level
- Push/pull: 30 pounds
- Step up and down from machine platforms
Postural Tolerances:
- Stand, walk, reach: frequently
- Bend, stoop, squat: occasionally
