Position: Staff or Senior Accountant
Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing close activities, and ensuring account balances are properly supported. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Lead monthly close activities by preparing schedules, reviewing financial data, and helping ensure timely completion of reporting deadlines.

- Maintain the general ledger by recording, reviewing, and correcting financial activity to support accurate accounting records.

- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation and alignment to accounting policies.

- Perform detailed reconciliations for balance sheet and other assigned accounts, investigating discrepancies and resolving outstanding items.

- Complete bank account reconciliations on a regular basis to confirm cash activity and identify variances promptly.

- Analyze account activity and financial results to support accuracy, consistency, and completeness across reporting periods. Requirements - Demonstrated experience in a senior-level accounting role with responsibility for monthly close processes.

- Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.

- Hands-on experience performing account reconciliations and researching variances.

- Background in completing bank reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
