Concordance's reentry program is designed to dramatically reduce recidivism by helping individuals with justice involvement lead meaningful, abundant, and joyful lives. Our holistic, evidence-based model offers a wide range of services - therapy, case management, yoga, behavioral health and substance use recovery groups, spiritual care, life skills, medical care, education, and job readiness. Each participant is formally supported by our Care Team for a full year, ensuring stability and long-term success.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Employment Manager plays a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with employer partners while supporting Concordance participants in securing and sustaining employment. This position serves as the bridge between hiring partners, participants, and the Concordance care team.
The Employment Manager works proactively to identify job opportunities, remove employment barriers, and ensure participants are prepared, placed, and supported for long-term success. In addition, this role collaborates closely with internal team members to ensure participants are successful.
Key Responsibilities - your role will involve:
Employer Engagement and Community Engagement
- Develop, cultivate, and manage local employer partnerships; support and maintain select regional or national employer relationships
- Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for hiring partner supervisors and employer stakeholders
- Identify and address issues related to employment compliance, workplace environment, or hiring practices
- Collaborate with hiring partners to ensure a clear understanding of participant needs, expectations, and support structures
- Coordinate and oversee employer site tours, hiring events, reverse job fairs, and community engagement activities
- Proactively identify new employer leads aligned with participant career pathways
- Track employer satisfaction and retention metrics
- Communicate regularly with career coaches, therapists, case managers, and Center Coordinators to ensure coordinated participant support
- Obtain required releases and documentation related to employment placement
- Enter, track, and maintain accurate employment data in internal systems; oversee employment KPIs for your location
- Ensure employment data is timely, complete, and aligned with grant and reporting requirements
- Update employment-related policies and procedures as needed
- Monitor placement outcomes, retention rates, and wage progression
- In collaboration with Career Coaches, support participants with job applications and interview preparation
- Oversee and facilitate job search groups and cover employment readiness sessions as needed
- Identify and match job leads based on participant career plans, skills, and readiness
- Provide feedback on interview readiness, resumes, professional communication, and workplace expectations
- Develop events, resources, and employer access opportunities to increase employment accessibility
- Support participants during onboarding and early employment stages to improve retention
Required Education and Licensure:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of experience in staffing, social services, workforce development or related role requiring management of multiple stakeholders
- Experience with justice-involved or vulnerable populations preferred
