Adjunct Faculty - Department of Intelligence and Security Studies; pooled positions

Job Responsibilities:

The Citadel's Department of Intelligence and Security Studies is establishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part-time teaching positions for undergraduate and/or graduate positions. Courses are offered during the day and online throughout the academic year (fall, spring, and summer). All adjunct positions are per session appointments.

• Abiding by and upholding the Citadel's mission, policies, and core values.
• Utilizing effective teaching and learning practices such as presentations, demonstrations, class discussion, and other appropriate modes of instructional delivery.
• Preparing course outlines and syllabi in accordance with program standards and in collaboration with the program coordinator.
• Completing student assessments required for program completion.
• Meeting all scheduled class periods, being available to students for individual consultations, submitting grades by the specified due date.
• The Citadel requires faculty to submit midterm grades for undergraduate students as well as utilize the Attendance and Class Absence System for undergraduate students.

• Doctoral degree is required to teach graduate courses and a Master's degree is required to teach undergraduate courses.
• Three years teaching experience at the elementary, middle grades, secondary, and/or college level.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Experience in designing courses and materials.
