1. Have 60 college credit hours (transcripts are required, unofficial accepted) or
2. Have completed two years (60 semester hours) of college coursework from an accredited institution, or
3. Have passed a state‑approved examination of content knowledge and pedagogy (testing location: ola copeland learning center)

• works with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher.
• assists with reading, spelling, handwriting, and math.
• under supervision of teacher, prepares for classroom activities.
• assists individual children in need of special attention.
• catalogs and files instructional materials and maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment and prepares orders.
• performs clerical duties.
• participates in in‑service training programs.
• assists with the annual inventory of supplies, materials and equipment.
• completes other assignments as required by supervisor.

length of employment: 9 months - 192 days

flsa: non exempt

salary: paraprofessional salary schedule
