A full-time special education teaching position is available in Spartanburg, SC, serving a preschool autism class at an elementary school setting. This role focuses on instructing students in grades 4K, 5K, and 1st grade, supporting a class size of 12 to 13 students. The classroom is staffed with two teacher assistants to aid with daily activities and student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students with autism in a full-day preschool program.
• Provide support with toileting and other personal care needs for students.
• Collaborate with teacher assistants to create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with multi-categorical special education standards.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet diverse learner requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid multi-categorical special education certification.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children in special education settings is preferred.
• Ability to manage a classroom environment involving students with autism and related support needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
