Overview
Our client a Tier 1 automotive supplier in Spartanburg, SC is seeking Plant Manager to lead all manufacturing operations including production, quality, materials, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, and new product launches within a high-volume automotive environment.
This role oversees multiple product lines across OEMs, commercial vehicle, and aftermarket segments and holds full P&L responsibility.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop production, quality, engineering, materials, and EHS teams
- Drive operational excellence through Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement
- Own plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and profitability
- Partner with HR and finance on staffing, policies, budgeting, and operational controls
- Implement strong manufacturing systems, KPIs, and Business Operating System processes
- Support product launches, DFMA activities, and advanced quality initiatives
- Maintain ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 certifications
- Serve as key customer interface for plant operations and audits
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- Proven senior operations leadership in automotive manufacturing (Plant Manager/Director of Operations level)
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and OEM supplier portals
- Solid financial and P&L management experience
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and retain high-performing teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP experience (PLEX preferred)
- Experience in composites manufacturing is a plus
