Position OverviewA Process Engineer II (onsite in Spartanburg, South Carolina) will develop, launch, and continuously improve assembly processes for generators, hybrid power systems, and compressors. The role focuses on post‑launch optimization, BOM/SOP improvement, and collaboration with Industrial Engineering. Full‑time, weekdays 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Responsibilities- Develop and launch assembly processes, workflows, and line layouts
- Define standard work, cycle times, and assembly sequencing
- Lead process validation activities, including PFMEA and Control Plans
- Drive post‑launch process improvements—cycle time, yield, downtime, throughput
- Drive and collaborate with Industrial Engineering on line balancing and labor optimization
- Drive and collaborate with Industrial Engineering on ergonomics and workstation design
- Continuously improve BOMs (eBOM to mBOM alignment) and SOPs
- Support assembly of generators, hybrid systems (ESS/battery), and compressors
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement shop‑floor driven solutions
- Support and implement engineering changes (ECO/ECN)
- Develop and deliver operator training; maintain skills/certification tracking
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 2–4 years in assembly/process engineering
- Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, and process validation
- Strong background in post‑launch process improvement
- Hands‑on experience with electromechanical systems
- Experience with BOM management and SOP development
- Experience with generators, compressors, or hybrid/energy systems
- Familiarity with ERP, MES, or PLM systems
- Ability to read electrical & mechanical drawings
- Experience working with Industrial Engineering teams
- Experience using AI tools in a practical work environment (not required, but a plus)
- Curiosity, practicality, and ability to use AI tools responsibly while relying on engineering judgment, shop‑floor validation, and input from operators and cross‑functional teams
- Improve assembly efficiency and throughput

- Strengthen process robustness (PFMEA) and control effectiveness (Control Plans)
