As a Summer 2027 Intern
- Process Engineering at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) in Spartanburg, SC, you will gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced food/beverage manufacturing environment while supporting engineering projects that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability across our operations. You will work alongside cross‑functional teams to solve real‑world manufacturing challenges, analyze data, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact on the business.
This role is aligned to the Coffee Operating Unit.
Shift/Schedule:
- The KDP Summer 2027 Intern Program runs from June 7th
- August 13th, 2027 - Location:
Spartanburg, SC (Plant) - Full‑time; 40 hours per week
- Monday-Friday
- 8:00am until 5:00pm
- Onsite
- Support engineering and manufacturing projects focused on improving safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability of production processes and equipment
- Analyze process and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement
, troubleshoot issues, and develop data‑driven recommendations - Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and other cross‑functional teams to implement process and equipment improvements
- Participate in root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and problem‑solving activities to address manufacturing challenges
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, reports, project updates, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project impact
- Engaging and partnering on innovative projects to gain experience in a fast paced, cross functional team environment
- Receive mentor support for your professional development
- Participate in meet & greets and lunch & learns with KDP executives and other organization leaders
- Receive professional development training such as networking, professional skills development and presenting
- Complete a project from start to finish and present it and your takeaways to your team, department,and senior leaders to highlight your project work and impact on the business
- $31/hr
- Paid bi‑weekly
- $2,500 sign‑on bonus, paid within first 30 days of employment
- Undergraduate currently enrolled in a full time academic program from an accredited college or university, majoring in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize requests, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills including excellent listening, written, and verbal abilities.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally, be independently driven, and adapt to changes.
- Skills desired:
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and an interest in process improvement, data analysis, manufacturing operations, and engineering principles; familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma, CAD, Solid Works, or other engineering software is a plus
